As Persons Against Non-State Torture, our website is an honoured space dedicated to advancing human rights. We understand that our supporters value their privacy. Our policy outlines how we handle the limited information we may collect, for example:

1. Voluntary Information and How it is Used:  We only collect information that is voluntarily sent to us when our participatory research questionnaires are answered. This research does neither identity who you are nor your email contact information. The participatory questionnaires are utilized to establish collective evidence regarding non-State torture victimizations and exploitations of adults, not of children under the age of 18 years. This principle is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Article 1 of this Convention defines a child as a “human being below the age of eighteen years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier.” The goal of our work is to break the patriarchal discriminatory social and legal silencing of non-State torture human right victimizations specifically committed against women and women who provide information about their childhood and the non-State torture victimizations committed against them. When personal stories and art, for instance, are shared for educational purposes or in published documentations this occurs because you have given us consent to do so.

2. Log Data: We do not collect standard technical information, such as your IP address or browser type.

3. Legal Necessity: This will occur only if we have information to share that by law requires us to comply with legal reporting processes (i.e., mandated reporting or subpoenaed).

4. Third-Party Links: Our website may contain links to other human rights sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

5. Your Rights: You may request to view, correct, or delete any personal information you have voluntarily provided and that we may have about you by contacting us at the email below.

6. Changes to This Policy: We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with a "Last Updated" date.

7. Contact Us: If you have questions about this privacy policy
